Welcome to The Astro Motel, nestled in the vibrant heart of Santa Rosa, California. We can’t wait to host you. Originally built in 1963 during the golden era of American motor lodges, The Astro was lovingly remodeled in 2017 into a 34-room urban retreat featuring original mid-century modern furnishings, a lush edible garden, and a deep appreciation for all that Sonoma County has to offer. The Astro has been hailed as a “gleaming midcentury masterpiece” by the Press Democrat since its grand reopening in January 2018. Designed as an affordable and adventurously styled hub for visitors, it offers a unique stay experience in the midst of Sonoma County’s rich wine, beer, food, wedding, and cycling scene.
