The Cottages Hotel is a 3-star, 26-room property at 1704 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, close to downtown Palo Alto and a 10-minute drive from Stanford University. Newly renovated rooms each have a private garden patio with bistro tables, ceiling fans and pool views, plus kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves, flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffee machines and laptop safes. Standard Rooms (250 sq ft) have corner showers; Deluxe Rooms (310-360 sq ft) have private mini courtyards. A daily complimentary buffet breakfast with hot pastries, meats, omelets, fresh juice and locally sourced coffee is served from 6:30 AM in the lobby, and 24/7 coffee and tea are available. Guests can use the seasonally heated outdoor pool, a fitness center with Peloton bikes, treadmills and free weights, and a courtyard with firepit and lounge chairs under a 300-year-old California oak.
